Volunteer

Habitat Charlotte relies on the assistance of thousands of volunteers every year to build homes, staff ReStores, and help out at events. Habitat Mud Volleyball is no exception. The tournament has gotten a lot larger since it began in 2007, so this year our need a lot of volunteers to make it all happen. We need YOU, whether it is weeks in advance or the day of the tournament. Volunteering is a great way to fulfill school community service hours, get to know other HYP members, make new friends, and have fun.  We are currently looking for people to help out with event set up and day of event help.  For more information or to get involved, please contact Merissa Hannah at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Volunteer tasks:

  • Securing sponsors and prize donations
  • Hanging event flyers around town
  • Tournament logistics

Week of tournament:

  • Preparing site/pits
  • Setting up nets/fencing

Day of tournament:

  • Setting up tents/stage
  • Parking attendants
  • Sign in
  • Referees
  • Scorekeepers/runners
  • Food/Beverage/Beer tent workers
  • Raffle/beer ticket sales
  • Cleanup

As a volunteer, you will receive a free volunteer t-shirt and lunch at the tournament.
